And now something completely different... Let me introduce my dear co-editor, Cindy, who was so lovely that she sent me some photos to publish.
Unfortunately, as for me, I can rely only on guesswork, where these pictures might have been taken, so if anybody has any exact ideas, please help me not to feel so ignorant...
Here's a hint: Both pictures were taken on a trip through the UK--one in Scotland and the other in Wales. You'll have to guess where this celtic cross is found.
Pembroke, fine, now that it turned out, I will definitely go there once... :) You know... I have never been in Wales... So you are so lucky you have been to soooo many countries. :)
After a while you learn the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn't mean learning and company doesn mean security, And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises, And you begin to accept your defeat with your head up and you eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child, And you learn to build all you roads on today
because tomorrow ground is too uncertain for plans. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone else to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure... That you really are strong, And you really do have worth.

ReplyDeleteOk, turns out this was a hard one. This is in Pembroke, South Wales. It is the Carew Cross at Carew Castle.
