A (supposedly) difficult one

I know that I am mean, but after all... the weekend is coming... There is plenty of time to figure it out where this photo was taken.

As this photo turned out to be a too difficult one, now I will post another picture which had been taken only about 200 kms before I took the original, previous one. As there are no easy clues in these pictures, this time I am interested in the country only.

  4. Oh, way to make that difficult! I guess we should have gone with our instincts. My husband looked at the first photo and immediately thought of the Storbelt Bridge in Denmark. But when we googled images of it, none of them had the single beam on top--they were all double. This second photo looks more like it. Are we correct?

  5. Wow, you should have been convinced by your husband... The second picture was taken while driving on the Storebæltsbroen (Great Belt bridge), which links Sjælland (Zealand) and Fyn (Funen), while the first photo was taken a few kms later on, just arriving at the Lillebæltsbro (Little Belt bridge - what a cunning name!) that is between Fyn and Jylland (Jutland). Nice solution!!

  6. Yes, he tells me all the time that I should always listen to him because he is never wrong. This time he was right! He lived in Denmark for 2 years in the 80s and said to tell you that he remembers when Store Belt was serviced by ferry, no bridge and Lille Belt was a bridge but much smaller.

  7. Sometimes men can be right as well... :D To be frank, I didn't know that these bridges are so new! Thanks! Anyway, life could have been quite difficult at that time; using a ferry every day would have driven me crazy!! (However this bridge is only a little bit better, as it is quite expensive I think... :( Last time we used it, we paid 205 DKK / route!)
